In his first year as a member of the Meadow Ridge Rotary Club, Peter was awarded the District’s “Rookie of the Year”. In addition, he also earned a “Paul Harris”, the highest and most prestigious Rotary award for service, a result of contributing considerable time and energy developing and promoting the start-up of the now Annual Rotary Duck Race in Maple Ridge. To promote the event, he sported a duck costume around town. When you see him, ask him to tell you about it. Peter enjoys canoeing in serene natural settings. He also has a soft spot for animals. He and his wife, Doreen, have rescued a Clydesdale horse, a mangled Mouflon sheep and a lovely German shepherd, all who needed a loving home.
