Cozy season
In many movies, the language of fireworks are used to depict experience of flavour.
This nineteenth-century series of graphically expressive ads (Flowers of Fire, ca. 1880s) reminds us of the fun, emotional experience of taste. And how fitting are these colours?
Fun fact: did you know the first fireworks in China were bamboo sparklers? It is believed that the first naturally made "firecracker" was a bamboo stalk thrown in a fire, whcib would explode with a bang because of the hollow air pockets overheating inside the bamboo💥
