Last week, our very own Allison Francis led a great seminar at Riverbend Golf Community. Allison spoke about the importance of maintaining mobility with aging and how Nordic walking poles can help!

The benefits of using Nordic walking poles include improved balance, greater core activation, and increased speed! The use of walking poles also increases greater global muscle use, with the activation of our shoulders, arms, and core in addition to our legs. It has been shown that walking poles help to engage 80-90% of muscles as opposed to 50%!

An easy travel tip for athletes, shared by Justin Sanders 🏃‍♂️

Justin Sanders is a student athlete for track and field. Due to the high travel that the team endures for competition, Justin had to find a way to stay sharp and ready. In order to do this, Justin has since added a post travel run into his repertoire! He notes that by doing so, he feels less flat and performs better for his competitions!

If you are an athlete who has experienced this similar feeling after long travelling, try to add this quick run in to perform at your very best, just like Justin 🏃‍♂️
