Don't feed our web-footed feathered friends!
This time of year, we notice more webbed feet wandering around our parks and public spaces. Urban wildlife, like the Canada goose, are excited about spring, too!
You may be tempted show some extra support for our feathered and furry friends by feeding them, but this often causes harm.
Human food is not good for wildlife and if they become dependent on people for food, it can lead to injuries and the spread of disease.
Excessive feeding of wildlife is prohibited under City by-laws and can lead to a $180 fine on a first offense.
Letβs work together to keep our wildlife wild and our parks and urban spaces safe for everyone.
