Think about what is happening in your life.... are you viewing yourself with a filter of emotion, creativity, self awareness, learning, growth and presence? If not, you should. It's terrifying, difficult and at times painful. But by acknowledging and owning all of those elements in your life you will be able to actually define and utilize all of the amazing parts of you that make you YOU. In someone's perfect world we all have amazingly thick and perfect hair, a size 0 body but with b***s, flawless dewy just in from the beach tanned skin, luscious lips, amazing clothes, a wicked car, an awe-inspiring always clean house and unlimited funds,
Reality check.... even with all of those things you wouldn't be happy. Perfection is found in accepting what we are told are flaws and being happy with all of the amazing components of ourselves that make us US. And this is what I want to capture during each and every shoot. I don't want to hear "i'm too fat, I'm too thin. I'm too old, I'm too young. I'm too shy, I'm sad." but I do hear those things from women I meet EVERY day. A shocking number of them actually. Come and see me... because I know I can show you that NONE of those things will even matter when you see your beautiful self in your photos. This year I have titled Project BeYOUtiful and I am seriously focused on finding the beautiful YOU in every single shoot that I do. Who am I? I am a woman, a mother of one seriously adorable wild child, a lover of coffee, France & Pearl Jam. I am searching constantly for authenticity, awareness, knowledge and presence using whatever emotional or learning methods available. I am learning, and shooting and creating... and for the first time in a LONG time I feel like I actually have a life. All dramatics aside... , what you see is pretty much what you get with me....
