How long have you been practicing?
29 years. Which seems so strange because it feels like it was just yesterday when i graduated.

Describe yourself in three words:
Honest. Caring. Funny

Where is your favourite place?
I was born in Halifax Nova Scotia and although I haven't lived there in some time, I gravitate towards the water. Halifax remains a favourite place for me and outside of Canada, the Amalfi coast is a place I could easily live.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
I am not a marvel/DC fan so I don't often think about super powers. Truthfully, I would love to be able to have a beautiful singing voice. For me, that would be a super power.

Alive or passed-and money is no issue-which musician would you love to see perform?
I don't even have to give this a moment's thought. I would give anything to see Freddie Mercury live. It would be great to travel back in time to see his Live Aid show with Queen. Maybe I do want a super power after all...

How would you describe the work of an OT working in pain in 30 seconds?

An Occupational Therapist works with people with persistent pain to find new ways to approach and participate in the activities that matter to them. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is that being engaged in activity is essential to the core of who we are. Occupational therapists use a blend of physical and mental health strategies to help those with persistent pain learn to modify their approach to activity through the use of pacing techniques, posture and body mechanics strategies, assistive devices and equipment while capitalizing on the strengths of the individual all with the aim of bringing more quality to daily life.
