Progressive Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) is 100% volunteer run, working to help pet families in Ontario. PAWS subsidizes the costs of preventive and essential veterinary care for those who could not otherwise afford it, avoiding unnecessary euthanasia or surrender to shelters - keeping owners and their animal companions together!
Your pet is your family. We believe that one should ever have to choose between paying rent and getting their pet the veterinary care that they need. We receive almost 2,000 applications a year from people who want to do what’s best for their pet but just can’t make ends meet.
When you donate to PAWS or join in the Steps for Pets Walkathon - London, you’re helping a family access urgent or preventative care for their beloved cat or dog. You are contributing to the wellness of pets, the mental health of their owner, the reduction of suffering, and supporting public health by preventing communicable disease.

Funds raised in the Steps for Pets Walkathon will be used in Middlesex County, Hamilton region, Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge and Brant County.
