There has been so much talk on social media lately about connections, and how those are so important in a fast changing digital landscape. While it's true that you can create an AI lookalike of yourself, create content faster, and have AI off load some of your workload, it's also still true that people buy from people.
Take Tenilee Miller
She saw a recent post of mine, reached out, asked if I was back in the Taber and Lethbridge area, and reached out. Not because she needed a headshot and my photo ran across her feed, because her seeing that photo went right to the connection we already had built 10 years ago. Tenille knew I had lived and photographed a lot of people in the Taber area, but more than that.. we had shared an office at the school division where I worked for two years . She didn't need a headshot then, but that connection was there: building real relationship can mean everything: the call, the referral, the repeat business. Starting the relationship is the first part, even on social media.. no ESPECIALLY on social media. Reach out. Follow Up. DM personal invites.

Tenille Miller is an administrative and governance professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting leadership within education, boards, commissions, and nonprofit organizations across Alberta and Canada.
