What a Wonderful Week at MECA Academy!

This week was filled with fun, discovery, and learning! Our children enjoyed cooking, yoga, music, dancing, and even jumping in puddles after the rain.
We explored our community and connected with nature by watching ducks, searching for worms, and observing how rain helps the world around us grow green and beautiful.

These hands-on experiences encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and a love for learning.

At MECA Academy, our Reggio Emilia-inspired approach allows children to learn through exploration, meaningful experiences, and their connection with the natural world.

What a wonderful week it has been at MECA Academy!

This week was filled with learning, laughter, creativity, and meaningful connections.

Our children enjoyed exploring the world around them by jumping in puddles, discovering nature throughout our community, and observing all the amazing things that make our environment special.

We expressed our creativity through a variety of art experiences, explored our senses with fun hands-on activities and games, and worked together to make delicious homemade pizza. There was plenty of dancing, singing, movement, and joyful moments shared with friends and teachers.Most importantly, we continued building friendships, confidence, and connections that help our children learn, grow, and thrive every day.

Along with our anniversary celebration, we also enjoyed the beautiful weather with a fun trip to the park! ☀️🌳

Once we arrived, the children gathered together to play with the colourful parachute. They worked as a team shaking it up and down while laughing as the soccer balls bounced on top. Their favourite part was lifting the parachute high and running underneath together! It was such a joyful activity filled with teamwork, movement, excitement, and plenty of smiles. ⚽🌈😊

Celebrating one year of serving this wonderful community while creating beautiful memories with our little ones made this week extra meaningful for all of us.

🌷✨ Celebrating Spring at MECA! ✨🌷

Spring brought us the perfect reason to celebrate with a fun dress-up party full of bright colours, smiles, and seasonal joy! Dressed in our spring best, we headed out for a neighbourhood walk to explore all the beautiful signs of the new season.

Along the way, the children eagerly observed budding flowers, fresh green leaves, singing birds, and the gentle changes happening all around them. One especially meaningful moment happened when we spotted a busy bumblebee collecting pollen from a flower. We paused to watch closely, and this sparked a wonderful discussion about how bumblebees gather pollen to help feed and support their colony.

These simple but powerful outdoor experiences create opportunities for children to connect with nature, build curiosity, and deepen their understanding of the world around them. Through conversation, observation, and exploration, spring became more than just a season—it became a hands-on learning adventure.
