Canyon Church Camp's grand reopening in Waterton was a resounding success, with a diverse group of former campers, counselors, current and past board members, and volunteers in attendance. Baz Skinner set the tone with a sincere land acknowledgment. Karen Larter, Camp Director, presented a detailed history of the camp, followed by remarks from the Parks Canada supervisor for Waterton. The ceremony included a flag raising and ribbon-cutting with distinguished guests, including Right Rev. Kimberly Heath. The site tours highlighted the camp's blend of old and new buildings, and attendees were eager to find their names on the memory plaques in the Kate Perry Lodge.

Tomorrow is the day! Come join us as we "Rise and Renew" and re-open Camp Canyon for the first summer season since 2017! There will be tours, a flag raising, special guests, and of course, camp songs! The day runs from 1:00-5:00 pm and you can hitch a ride with the Tamarack Shuttle! Thank you to all of our volunteers and partners who have made this day possible! Be sure to enter camp at the old Crandell campground gate entrance!
