Bring on the next torrential downpour this weekend is predicted to have. So far I haven’t found any calves floating downstream, but I feel it’s just a matter of time now 😅

Alberta has seen a monsoons worth of water over the last couple of weeks and it appears to have come to a head this weekend with nonstop rain up until about 3 hours ago. Homes are flooded, fences and roadways are washed out, bridges are out of commission. In cities sewers are backing up into peoples homes.

I hope all are staying safe and keeping their critters dry and fenced. I moved my cows back to the barn because the creek has washed out two fences. They are very unhappy with me.

The sun is out now and the greenery will explode with growth and I feel hope for the first time in 36 hours 😅
