Hydro-Québec will be investing over $500 million to upgrade its transmission system in the north-south axis of the island of Montréal.
System upgrade between Aqueduc and Saraguay substations To meet growing electricity needs, Hydro-Québec plans to add approximately 500 MW of capacity by converting Rockfield, Hampstead and Laurent transformer substations and the 120-kV overhead transmission line between Saint-Laurent and LaSalle to 315 kV.
