The LDD direct drive housed rotary motors use patented electromagnetic technology to generate more torque to mass than competing direct drive motors. In addition, they provide the performance to replace servo gear motors.
Compact but powerful direct drive motors:
- Mass ranging from 7.4 to 14.5 kilograms.
- Continuous torque ranging from 20.5 to 64.9 Newton meters.
- Up to 45% more torque density than the closest direct drive motors.
- Excellent power efficiency: outputs more torque for the same amount of heat generated. Up to 68%.

A key benefit to replacing a geared motor is that the Genesis LDD has fewer parts to source and maintain – no more gears, couplings, and lubrication. You can end the geared motor challenges of backlash and oil contamination. Achieve accuracy down to 1 arcminute, with high repeatability, and no expensive maintenance or oil leaks.

The LDD motor length ranges from 106 to 182 millimeters, which can reduce an overall system footprint by up to 2 times when compared to a similarly performing gearbox system.
