What are the different types of lashes we carry? The types of lashes we use are Silk and Faux Mink. Silk : 1/3 of the lash is tapered with a semi-gloss finish and provides a dark, full finish. Mink : 2/3 of the lash is tapered with a semi-matte finish and provides a very light-weight, natural finish. Will your natural lashes get harmed or damaged? The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. If applied correctly and properly, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes. How long does the application process take and how long do they last? The application process can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on your desired look. Since each lash extension is attached to a single lash, they will fall out naturally. Touch-ups are recommended every 2-4 weeks based on your after care and lash cycle as 1-4 of your lashes shed naturally on a daily basis. Yes, water based only. Although mascara is not recommended because it may result in the extensions falling off prematurely. Care also needs to be taken when taking off the mascara. Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions? The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. We do recommend however that you do not wash your eye area for approximately 48 hours after the eyelash application. Can eyelash extensions be removed? Yes! At anytime for any reason! If you wish to remove them, we provide that service here at the studio free of charge. It is a simple procedure that doesn't take long and we have a specially formulated removal solution that will break down the glue and safely remove your extensions without damaging your natural lash. Please do not attempt to remove the lash extensions yourself as this will cause premature pulling out of your natural lashes. How do I take care of my new Eyelash Extensions?
- Avoid water, hot steam and saunas for the first 48 hours as it can cause clumping or weakening of the bond
- Do not rub your eyes
- If applying mascara, apply to the tips only. Application at the root will result in clumps.
- Use water based makeup remover only (oil based products will weaken the bond over time)
- Do not perm your lashes
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler
- Do not pull your lashes
