LGM Graphix

Here is a recent paint job just clear coated today. This harley FXR was painted many years ago by Curtis Hamm, as the years do to all of us, time had not been so kind to the bike. The front fender was heavily damaged, tank had a big dent in it, rear fender was full of paint chips, gouges and the typical FXR rust. A new front and rear fender were used along with new side covers. The dent in the tank was repaired and then the tricky part came.
Curtis is a painter that I have always respected. He is a gifted artist so I wanted to preserve his artwork. On the tank I was able to save 95% of his original paint just blending the flames in the front right side. However, as the fenders and side covers were new I had to replicate and pay homage to his work. Curtis has a much different style of flames than I do and on this job his style included weaving a double layer of flames.
So after at least a full day of masking, a couple hours of painting, and two full days of hand striping all the flames, I think it came out awesome, continuing on this totally FXR style flame job.
