We’re making improvements to the parking experience at WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital), and we truly appreciate your patience during this work.

Delays may happen on July 20, 24, and 27, and your flexibility means a lot as we upgrade our systems.

If you have an appointment on the 27th, giving yourself a few extra minutes to park can help your visit start smoothly and comfortably.

Oliver’s story is a beautiful reminder of what donor support makes possible. Every milestone he reaches, every candle, every first step, and every new beginning is a moment his family gets to celebrate because WRHN’s NICU had the right equipment ready at the right time.

We’re proud to share stories like this, and grateful for the Waterloo Regional Health Network Foundation - WRHNF and the donors who help make these moments happen for families across the community.

If you’re able, supporting WRHNF truly helps more kids reach their next milestone. 💛 https://wrhnf.ca/kids/

When it comes to your health, Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is here to educate and support you.

What You Should Know is that poor air quality and extreme heat both put extra stress on your body. Your lungs and heart work harder on smoky or hot days, which makes it important to stay aware and prepared.

Before you head outside, check the Air Quality Health Index and local weather so you know what conditions you’re stepping into. If the air is bad because of wildfire smoke or the heat is high, take breaks, stay hydrated, and find cool, clean air indoors. Protect yourself by resting and staying out of the worst of the heat and smoke.

July is a reminder that meaningful change often begins with awareness.

From celebrating cultures and identities to recognizing important health, environmental, and community causes, this month brings many opportunities to learn, listen, and engage.

Throughout July, we recognize observances including Disability Pride Month, Plastic Free July, Tibetan Heritage Month, Canada Day, Nelson Mandela Day, International Non-Binary People's Day, World Hepatitis Day, and many more.

Every observance offers an opportunity to build understanding, celebrate our differences, and contribute to healthier, more inclusive communities. ✨
