Last week I joined the Evening of Recognition Event hosted by where community members, leaders, and changemakers came together to celebrate contributions, build connections, and strengthen relationships across our network. It was inspiring to engage with so many passionate individuals committed to making a positive impact in our community. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening so meaningful, energizing, and engaging.

The following day, I was invited to participate in the Community Climate Leadership Forum hosted by ClimateActionWR, the University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University. The forum brought together leaders from multiple sectors for an open and collaborative discussion on how Waterloo Region can continue advancing the TransformWR Climate Action Plan.

The goal of the forum was to identify opportunities to build stronger community momentum around climate action while addressing key priorities including:
• Transit and active transportation
• Electric vehicles
• Residential and industrial electrification and heat pumps
• District energy
• Renewable energy

It was encouraging to hear how communities, institutions, and industry leaders are working together to advance practical and sustainable climate solutions while supporting economic development, affordability, and energy security.
Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these important conversations and collaborate with so many dedicated community leaders working toward a stronger and more sustainable future. 🌎
