We move between moments of grounded stillness, sinking deep within ourselves, and wild, primal dance that liberates and awakens our inner energy.

Through this journey, we begin to gently release what no longer serves us, allowing the mind, emotions and spirit to come into balance and harmony.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of guiding 6 lovely ladies through a ✨Chakradance✨ workshop at The Yurt KW. It was a beautiful experience! Thank you everyone for showing up for yourselves and for taking a moment to pause and be present with your body 💖🙏🏼✨

What to expect:

- we begin with a grounding meditation & warm-up
- we dance through the chakras with eyes closed
- we create an integrative art piece to anchor our experience

As I continue on my inner journey through The Artists Way, I find myself reflecting back on my childhood, particularly in relation to my inner artistic child.

Fun Facts:

• When I was 6 years old, I coloured pictures and made bracelets to raise money for Sick Kids hospital where my uncle worked. I went door to door and sold them to my neighbours.

• In grade 7, I sang a solo in our school musical, “The Granny Awards” where I played one of Cinderella’s evil sisters.

• In grade 8, I received an award at school from the Optimist Club that said “Just for being you”. This award was given to one female and one male in grade 8 who were seen as kind and positive.

• In grade 9, I sang a solo for the school mass.

• Throughout my childhood, I wrote poems and short stories (which I still have).

• In grade 8, I wanted to be a singer when I grew up. As well as a Veterinarian because I loved animals!

Today as I sit here soaking up the sun ☀️ on my artist date—I saw one beautiful white swan swimming in the water. A black egret also flew over me and it was majestic the way its wings flapped so slowly.

There is so much beauty around us when we slow down and take the time to notice it… but even more beauty in remembering who we are and returning home to ourselves.

I have been reflecting on the relationships in my life and the mirrors they have held up for me.

Some relationships have revealed wounds I didn’t realize I was still carrying. They showed me areas of myself that still require growth. Others have reflected back my strength, softness, and wisdom in ways that helped me see myself more clearly.

Relationships are not just connections with others — they are invitations into deeper self-awareness. They show us where we are still healing, where we are guarded, where we are growing, and where our light already exists.

Even the most challenging connections can become sacred teachers if we are willing to reflect instead of resist.
