AI's impact on the design process is a fascinating and evolving topic. While there are concerns about AI potentially replacing graphic and UI designers, the reality is uncertain. However, the key lies in leveraging these tools to stay ahead, offering benefits in terms of creativity, cost-effectiveness, and speed of ex*****on. AI can help overcome the initial challenge of finding inspiration by generating look and feel concepts, brand identities, colour palettes, or even UI designs based on user queries. Although not all AI-generated content is perfect, our role as product creators is to discern the pros and cons, drawing inspiration from both AI and existing products, as well as market feedback. Currently, AI serves as a powerful tool, particularly generative AI that combines existing knowledge in innovative ways and operates faster than humans. While it's not yet creating entirely novel concepts, it presents an incredible opportunity to enhance and expedite design processes.
