Today we're starting a new series called "My journey". This series aims to give a voice to immigrants and share their journey toward Canada.

We'll start with Vambora's CEO & Founder . Let's go?

"My wife and I moved to Canada from Brazil in 2016, and one of the biggest challenges we had was adapting to a new lifestyle. We left a promising and stable life behind and came with a dream of having a better life.

Like most newcomers, money was a concern, so we had to cut back our spending until one of us got a job. Seeing our bank account balance shrink was really overwhelming. We embraced hardships to find purpose and fulfillment in our journey.

Vambora in Portuguese means "LET'S GO", and I founded the company because I walked the walk and wanted to help other immigrants succeed. The company was born to symbolize the resilience and strength that newcomers need to thrive in a different country.

I can say that all the challenges and struggles made me stronger. I'm grateful for everything we went through, and I know how privileged I am to live in such a welcoming country as Canada.

I'm proudly a Canadian citizen who was born somewhere else. WE MADE IT! And I want to inspire other immigrants to pursue this crazy but beautiful dream of relocating to a new country."
