I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since my wedding. I’m not over it (Scotland) and I don’t think I ever will be.

First Christmas in our first house

This pair of stirrup cups are some of my favourite pieces in our house. The tradition dates back hundreds of years, by various parts of the world. It’s such a little thing, yet the documentation and history on it is vast.

Typically handed to a hunter before setting off. The drink would most commonly be port or sherry, and would serve as liquid courage before the hunt.
