Happy Physiotherapy Graduation Ziyan!
Ziyan and I have been working through persistent back pain and he has been managing beautifully with lifestyle changes and a strengthening program. Ziyan is now able to get through his work day pain free and enjoy more active weekends.
Congrats on all your hard work Ziyan, it's been such a pleasure watching you feel stronger and more empowered.

The deep core is incredibly important for stability and regulating intra-abdominal pressure, among many other things!
It is made up of: the diaphragm, the pelvic floor muscles, the transverse abdominis, and multifidus (not covered in this video). This layer is deeper than the "core" that typically comes to mind. The deeper layer has a larger role is stability rather than creating movement at a joint. Because it is less superficial it tends to be more difficult to feel it working.
While there is so much to talk about in this area, this is just a quick intro of how to get it working more efficiently.

Consider trying this out if you experience the following:
✨Low back pain
✨Poor hip mobility
✨Incontinence
✨Hip pain
✨Abdominal discomfort on exertion
✨Difficulty controlling spinal movement or maintaining neutral spine

Patient highlight!🌟
Emily was having back pain with bridges and difficulty working on her back walkover and front walkover. She's been working so hard on her flexibility and strength since we started working together. I mean, check out her beautiful bridge now! Her back hardly ever bothers her, her range of motion is improving every week, and her back walkovers will be coming soon!😍
Great work Emily!
