Makeup wipes actually destroy your acid mantle, which is a delicate and important layer on the surface of your skin that keeps moisture in and junk out. Protect it and toss away your makeup wipes.

The texture of most makeup wipes is harsh enough to be considered a mechanical exfoliant. You probably already use an exfoliating product in your skincare routine, so for most this is just a little bit too much for your skin to handle. Over exfoliating will also destroy your acid mantle.

Instead of wipes, D O U B L E C L E A N S E! 🫧

A double cleanse is the nicest way to wash your face and is as effective (or more effective) at removing makeup as a makeup wipe.

Double cleansing is the method of using an oil cleanser first to break down makeup and get things movin’, and then following up with a traditional cleanser.

Who’s guilty of using makeup wipes? I used to before I knew 🤦🏼‍♀️

Extra extra read all about it!
May is National Skin Cancer and Melanoma Awareness Month. It's important to check your skin often and make sure you know what to look for when it comes to abnormal moles.

Here's your guide to determining if a mole is normal or abnormal, you have to look for the ABCDE's.

A: Is the mole asymmetrical?
B: Are there irregular borders?
C: Do the colors vary?
D: Is the diameter greater than 6 millimeters? -> Approx the size of a pencil eraser.
E: Is the mole evolving at all?

Should you find any mole that matches any of the above criteria it is best to have it looked at by your doctor.

A few years ago, it seemed like everyone was telling everyone that coconut oil was the cure all.
Coconut oil has always been a staple but it was really having a moment!

While coconut oil is a great natural product and excellent for many different applications, especially cooking, I advise against
using it as a moisturizer, directly on skin.

My go-to for deeply moisturizing ingredients are jojoba oil, shea butter, hyaluronic acid and aloe.

These are what I reach for when I'm craving something to lock in moisture. And I like to leave the coconut oil for hair and/or cooking 🥘
