PIC.KO held their 2nd annual celebration of Philippine Independence Day over the weekend, where I had the opportunity to celebrate Filipino history and resilience and meet the Philippine Ambassador.

The struggle for independence is never easy, and it takes the courage of many to build a free country. We are fortunate to have a vibrant Filipino community in Canada that continues to contribute so much to our communities.

This Father's Day weekend, residents can fish for free across Ontario! Please remember to continue following Ontario's fishing regulations during the free fishing period.

This week, I attended the annual Police Awards ceremony to honour the exceptional service contributions by officers and volunteers of the Kingston Police and to celebrate the legacies left by those retiring.

Thank you for your continued dedication, and for the positive difference you make in our community!

Over 500 people came out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Seniors Centre. Connection, socialization, physical activity, growth: all of these are essential to ageing well are provided by the Seniors Centre's volunteers and staff.
