Northern Ontario needs our help.

Wildfires continue to impact communities across Northwestern Ontario, and pets and families are among those needing support. Peterborough Humane Society is a drop-off point for a supply drive in partnership with , a hub supporting communities affected by the wildfires.

Now through Friday we’re collecting essential pet supplies at the shelter to help provide care and comfort to animals in impacted areas.

They are looking for donations of:
🐾 Plastic crates (medium, large, and extra large)
🐾 Wire crates (large)
🐾 Collars (including martingale collars) and leashes in all sizes
🐾 Bowls
🐾 P*e pads

Drop-off location
Peterborough Humane Society
1999 Technology Drive, Peterborough

Donation hours
Thursday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm

All donations must be in by end of day Friday, July 17, when supplies head north. Thank you so much for your support!

You were always the happiest greeting at the door, tail wagging and so excited to see us every single time. Watching you run around the yard with Duke, so full of life and happiness, is something I’ll never forget.

Saying goodbye to a dog you’ve loved and cared for is never easy, and my heart breaks for your family. You were so deeply loved, and it showed in every moment. Run free sweet boy, you’ll be missed more than words can say. 🐾💐💗
