US steel now carries a 25% surtax before it even crosses the border. Canadian steel is already priced lower, with no customs wait. We break down all three tariffs stacking on steel buildings in 2026, and what it actually costs to source the wrong way.

Steel doesn't care if you're building a warehouse or a winery. It just needs to be done right.
The owners of All the Pretty Horses Vineyard in Keremeos have been building their organic winery from the ground up. When they needed a production facility to match, they called MSC. We designed and built a 2,000 sq. ft. steel building around their schedule, because they had grapes to tend while we were framing.
Office. Mezzanine. Washroom. Overhead doors. Done on time, done on budget. Now they've got a facility that'll outlast the vines.

Firehalls. Public works yards. Regional district facilities. MSC has built them across BC — from Princeton to the Upper Halfway River — on tight timelines, within public budgets, and to code. If you're managing a government steel building project, here's what working with MSC actually looks like.

The frame is filling in. Bays are taking shape. And the Okanagan College Recreation and Wellness Centre is starting to look like a building.
Track-level framing is in, the critical elevation on this job, and it landed clean. This is where the conventional steel and pre-engineered zones meet, and that interface has to be airtight. It was.
Steel is moving toward closeout, and every scope we touch leaves the next trade with a clean start. Two videos still to come. You won't want to miss the finish.
