Years from now you’ll want to change one cable.

Maybe the box under your TV dies, and its replacement needs a different connection. In a finished wall, that small want turns into a real job: cut the drywall, fish the line blind past the insulation, patch, sand, repaint, and hope the colour still matches.

Or we plan for it now. A flexible smurf tube runs from the TV location down to the media cabinet, empty except for a pull string. HDMI, Ethernet, all of it can be pulled through later without opening a single wall. We keep it to low voltage and give the data a chase of its own, separate from the power.

The open-wall stage is the only cheap time to solve a problem you don’t have yet.
