ππ What an incredible day! ππ
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our first-ever Elementary School Rugby Festival such a success.
To the 500 students and 30 teachers who joined us, thank you for bringing your enthusiasm, energy, and smiles. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
To our coaches, thank you for your leadership! To our 20 Junior Coaches, thank you for spending your day sharing the sport you love and being outstanding role models for the next generation of rugby players. One of the most rewarding parts of this program has been watching you grow as coaches throughout April and May while delivering Try Rugby Days in elementary schools. We received so many compliments from teachers about your ability to lead activities, speak confidently in front of groups, and create positive experiences for students. The growth in your confidence and leadership has been incredible to watch.
Thank you Rugby Canada for spending a day with us back in March to deliver Rookie Rugby Coach Training. The skills and confidence our junior coaches gained through that training played a huge role in the success of this program.
To our club members, volunteers, community supporters, and local businesses who donated their time, food, prizes, and resources, thank you. This event simply would not have been possible without you.
What started as an idea became an amazing day filled with rugby, teamwork, laughter, burgers, hot dogs, prizes, and new friendships. More importantly, it showcased the incredible strength of our rugby community and what can happen when people come together to support young athletes.
We are so proud of what our rugby family accomplished together and grateful to everyone who helped make this day so special.
Thank you for helping us grow the game.
Stay tuned for more photos and videos!!
