Westsyde Elementary had a great water fight this afternoon with KFR station 4 crews. Judging by the laughs and screams the kids and crew had a fantastic time!
Tonight, June 2nd 2026 KFR crews responded to reports of 6 kids who had tipped their canoe and were in the Thompson River. Luckily they were wearing their life jackets. They had a Good Samaritan stop in to help them and make sure they were safe. With River levels high and the water cold we highly recommend everyone stay safe and be vigilant around the water.
