Diatomaceous earth is the backbone of what we do, from anti-caking agents in livestock feed to odour control in barns, coops, and stalls. Naturally mined, minimally processed, and OMRI listed for organic use.

What if the key to low-carbon cement was hiding in the earth all along?

Planet LCD, our patent-pending cement innovation, uses diatomaceous earth, a naturally occurring material, to dramatically cut the carbon footprint of traditional Portland cement. It can replace up to 50% of a cement blend, far exceeding where most of the industry is today.

In mortar cube testing, Planet LCD Cement has demonstrated strong compressive strength at 20%, 35%, and 50% Portland cement replacement on a weight-for-weight basis, with all results passing ASTM C618.

Earlier this year, we opened the Calgary Cement Lab (C-Quester Centre of Sustainability) to push this technology forward and offer ASTM-certified testing services to partners and clients.
