At Main St. Local, Sundays are sacred.

Not because we don't have work to do. Trust us, there is always work to do.

But because every member of our team knows that Sunday is theirs.

A guaranteed day.
A day to be with family.
A day to sit on a dock.
A day to catch up on life.
A day to do absolutely nothing.

In an industry where schedules change constantly and evenings, weekends and holidays are often spent serving others, certainty can be a rare thing.

Giving our team one day they can count on matters.

We've learned that when people feel rested, respected and supported, they bring their best selves back into the dining room and kitchen.

Maybe that's not the most profitable decision on paper. But sometimes the best business decisions aren't measured in dollars.

Sometimes they're measured in people. And for us, that's a trade we're willing to make.

PSA: Tomorrow is our last WINE CLUB for the summer! We want to take this opportunity to say thanks.

We've had the pleasure of hosting these evenings on behalf of the Huntsville Ladies' Wine Club, and month after month we've watched friendships grow, conversations flow and a room full of incredible women come together over great wine, delicious food and plenty of laughter.

Our June gathering will be the last Wine Club event before everyone heads off to enjoy cottage weekends, family adventures, and everything else that makes a Muskoka summer so special.

We'd like to thank the members of the Huntsville Ladies' Wine Club for choosing to spend these evenings with us. Your support, enthusiasm and patronage mean so much to our team, and it has been a privilege to host you.

We hope you'll continue to stop by with friends, and continue to share moments in our space.

The answer is usually more complicated than a simple yes or no.

The reason we take the conversation seriously is because for some people, gluten isn't a preference.

It's a health issue. And it impacts our own team.

Christina is gluten free. Ryan is celiac.

Which means this isn't a conversation happening from a distance.

It's personal.

We're constantly evaluating what can safely be modified, what can't, and where extra precautions need to be taken.

The reality is that every kitchen carries some risk of cross-contamination, and every guest's level of sensitivity is different.

That's why we believe honesty is the most important ingredient in these conversations.

We'd rather have a detailed discussion and help you make an informed choice than simply tell you what you want to hear. If you're ever unsure, ask.
