In 1986, at 7 years old, Hippie Mike started skateboarding with a group of older guys that lived on or around his block in Barrie Ontario. One of those guys was Brian Roberts who lived directly across the street from Mike. Brian was 4 years older and was a Mentor to Mike in many ways, he taught him about skateboarding, snowboarding, and more, but most of all he was just a great friend. Unfortunately Brian and his family moved away around 1990 and as time went forward him and Mike lost touch, but because of today's technology Social Media brought them back together and Brian (now a graphic designer) asked if he could do some deck designs for Protest. And here we are in 2022 with the Still Searching Series...
