Today, my first post back, comes with a story.

March 8th, my mom came to visit me. We were hanging out, when she asked "what does I love you 3000 mean?". From there I showed her (not the whole movie) the scenes from Endgame with "I love you 3000" in it. The next day, when I walked her to her car to say goodbye, I told her I loved her, and she responded with "I love you 3000" with one of her infectious laughs.

I had no idea, that was the last time I would hear her say that to me.

She was one of my biggest fans when it came to supporting, encouraging, and sometimes constructive critiquing my art. The one thing she always used to say is "why don't you paint some flowers?" To which I'd reply "it's not my style, it doesn't influence me enough".

Today, on your birthday, I painted you some flowers, sorry it took so long Mom. I hope you are able to pull up a seat, crack a cold beer, put on Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, John Wick or the Bourne series, and enjoy your day. Today is about you🍻
