Emmy-nominated director, writer, composer, and CSA-winning producer, Romeo Candido, leads participants through LEAP, a storytelling method for storytellers seeking a more grounded, authentic voice.
In the age of AI, machines can imitate style, but they can’t recreate memory, emotion, or truth. Participants write, share, and begin to see how their own story can grow into something larger. The goal is to write from lived experience; finding the emotional truth of a moment and shaping it through character, want, conflict, and change. Participants write, share, and begin to see how their own story can grow into something larger: a short film, a play, a series, a pitch or simply a clearer sense of purpose as an artist.
