Lex says “This tune is my response to Paul Klee’s painting Diana in the Autumn Wind. I tried to write a sweet little melody for Diana, whoever she might have been, as well trying to evoke the whimsy of the title, and consonant colours of the painting in the melody and harmony of the piece… I also try to tackle the ‘autumn wind’ part of the painting in my arrangement. This disarray of the figure in the painting is reflected in the gradual entry of each instrument as the piece is played.”
