Workers Vote for Change is a resident based group, registered as a third party advertiser in the municipal election, to advocate for pro-worker candidates in the Hamilton municipal election.

Scott Duvall is the Workers Vote for Change candidate for Ward 7 City Councillor. Scott brings a healthy mix of experience, change and pro-worker prospectives and will be a tireless advocate as city councillor for Hamilton's working class.

Scott Duvall has been endorsed by the Hamilton District Labour Council, CUPE 5167, United Steelworkers of American 1005, USW 7135, USW 5328, Hamilton Professional Firefighters Assocation IAF 288, and (Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation) OSSTF District 21. He is a giant in local labour circles. Former MP Duvall has had the distinction of serving as past Steelworkers Union president, Member of Parliament for Hamilton Mountain and a previous city councillor. He has advocated publically for decades for workers' rights. MP Duvall pushed for pension reform, anti-scab legislation, living and fair wages, and support for small businesses. A figure is regularly seen at labour protests and events. He has tirelessly supported progressive causes across the city—an outspoken and vocal voice for change and work-focused policy. Scott brings a healthy mix of experience, change and pro-worker prospectives and will be a tireless advocate as city councillor for Hamilton's working class.

Kojo Damptey has been endorsed by the Hamilton District Labour Council, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 107, and ACORN Hamilton, the tenants’ rights union. He has supported decent, fair and living wage advocacy by the Hamilton District Labour Council budget deliberations, and was part of the Just Recovery Hamilton (https://justrecoveryhamilton.ca) coalition pressuring the City of Hamilton for decent wages, sick days, community benefits and social-community informed procurement.

His parents are both education professionals, a teacher and a university professor. Kojo was an educator and union member with CUPE 3906, and served as the Executive Director of the Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion advocating for broader progressive causes alongside labour leaders. Kojo also stood shoulder to shoulder with labour and community protestors to Shut Down Hate.

Kojo is an engaged and impassioned community leader volunteering his time for many progressive and labour sponsored causes.

Alex Wilson has been endorsed by Amalgamated Transit Union Local 107, CUPE 5167, and ACORN Hamilton, the tenants’ rights union.

Alex is a young and passionate organizer who has been heavily involved in local issues in Dundas. They are currently on leave from working for the Hamilton-West-Ancaster-Dundas Member of Provincial Parliament, Sandy Shaw.

Alex has extensive experience working with other community members on environmental issues and more. They have volunteered with Hamilton 350, and are a co-founder of both Action 13 and Save Our Streams Hamilton. Alex is a renter and understands the housing crisis that the entire city is facing.
