Boosting your immunity is one of the best things you can do to stay healthy and resilient, especially during the Season of sniffles.🤧

Here are 7 simple steps to help boost your immune system fast:

1. Healthy Diet
Power up your immune system with the right foods. A diet filled with whole foods, especially plant-based options, is key.
Eat the rainbow, colorful fruits and vegetables that are high in vitamins like C, E, and A, are also full of minerals like zinc and magnesium.
If you really want to support your immune cells this is a no brainer.
Fiber, we hear this a lot. Fiber to support gut health. Makes sense though if we don’t have fiber in our diet we can’t p**p, and I don’t have to tell you what that look like. Picture what happens when the pipes in your house have a block. Not a pretty scene. Keep in mind also that our gut has 70-80% of your immune function, so keeping thing flowing keeps the immune system happy.

2. Adequate Sleep:
Many of us have trouble sleeping. So, getting 7-9 hours is really hard.
There are ways to deal with this. GOOGLE THAT.
Getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night is essential for your body to recover quickly during the winter wellness season.
Not enough sleep? Your body cannot fight infection because it can’t repair and regenerate our cells. And we have trillions of them. You can see why we need 7-9 hours.
Getting enough sleep helps the body to recover faster when fighting infection and build immunity.

3. Reduce Stress:
Don’t you wish it was that easy!
Chronic stress weakens your immune system. Elevated cortisol levels can lead to immune dysfunction and increase inflammation.
Try things like deep breathing exercises, or meditation to keep your stress levels in check and support your immune health.

4. Regular Exercise:
Engaging in regular physical activity (even just a daily walk) Not so easy here in the North. Again, GOOGLE all the different ways to exercise inside. No need to give up. 🙁Exercise boosts circulation and supports your immune system. Movement helps us circulate the immune cells so that we can give our body what it needs to fight.

5. Maintain a Healthy Weight:
Carrying excess weight, particularly visceral fat, (belly fat) provides room for inflammation and impairs your immune function.
By maintaining a healthy weight, you reduce your risk of infection and chronic diseases.

6. Avoid Toxic Substances:
How many times have we heard this?
Smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can affect your immune system. Limit alcohol intake and avoid smoking to give your body the best chance at staying healthy. Remember, moderation is key.

7. Consider Supplements and Vaccinations:
If you're not getting enough of certain vitamins or minerals from food, (You are not eating the Rainbow) supplements can be helpful. Vitamin D, vitamin C, and zinc are also important for immunity. Also, make sure to keep up with recommended vaccinations to protect against serious infections.

By following these 7 steps, you can help your immune system work much better and keep yourself healthy and strong.
