and I’m learning more and more that part of building and holding community/friendships is incoveniece and I’m learning some people (men) I’ve tried to spend that energy on were never gonna be worth it, or even be a friend to me properly even if we were old high school friends or knew of each other since that time, And the reason I mention that is because sometimes as q***r/gay folk, hell, people in general, we say we don’t have time, don’t have the energy and then put it all into something or someone who isn’t filling our cup in the same way our friends or community do, but we have to be able to show up for them and in a way that truly feels good and not just surface level and idk I’m tired of that surface level s**t that really is just some hierarchy of who is more attractive and deserve more attention based on how conventionally pretty they are within the European beauty standards. And I say this as a q***r nb black person who has the body gay men love but and an identity they barely will make time to understand or acknowledge
