In January, I released a three song EP titled "Mask Off", in partnership with . This is something I was and still am extremely proud of- it is the most tangibly good thing I have ever had the opportunity and the privilege to do as an artist.

And in a lot of ways, I feel regret because I feel like I have, up until now, squandered that opportunity. Because of physical, mental, and emotional burnout, because of financial danger, and because of no days off, I feel I failed to give it the promotion it deserved back in January (and onward) in order to do the tangible good the partnered release was intended to do, and I think still is capable of doing. But a great thing about music is that it isn't just a moment. Like most art, it is designed to persist beyond that. So I am going to try again, because doing good for people living under violent oppression matters more to me than anything else right now.

In light of yesterday's events, now feels like an extremely appropriate time to share this work again, and to direct your attention towards organizations like ACPS that are doing life-changing and life-saving work.

90% of the streaming proceeds (and sales, on platforms like qobuz and apple music) for this song go directly to ACPS. Please donate to them if you can, and stream the EP, whether you can or you can't. And if the music or its subject matter isn't for you, I get it- if you still want to support it, but you can't listen to the songs, you can put it on low volume on headphones you aren't using, mute your speakers while it plays, or open it in a separate browser tab and mute that tab.

I'm going to take as much of a social media break as I possibly can for the rest of this week to avoid hitting that burnout again after yesterday, but I'd be happy to chat about the songs, the world, and how we're all doing right now in the comments. I'll do my best to respond quickly to folks here, if you want.

Free Palestine. Free Sudan. Free Iran. Free Congo. Free Lebanon. Free all oppressed peoples around the world. None of us are free until all of us are free. 💙

if you're seeing this yiu should come by Province House at 1726 Hollis Street in Halifax and say hi. I'm the dork with the all black fit, blue nails and a keffiyeh. Come down and help us tell what you think about him slashing the budget for the backbone of Nova Scotia's economy.

I'm a few days late on this one, but here are a handful of my favourite (mostly musical) memories from 2025 (and my favourite new shirt)

it's a hard year to reflect on. very little of what I set out to do happened as planned if it happened at all. everything in the world feels like it's getting worse and it's getting logistically harder to keep this up as time goes on. the state of the world is fu***ng bewildering and I cannot (can) believe we are on track to a fourth year of genocide in Gaza, which has served as the wake-up call to so many other genocides, atrocities and other injustices in places like Sudan, Lebanon, the Congo, Nigeria, Venezuela and so much more.

in March I felt like I hit my lowest point as an artist and wanted to pack it up. then I made the decision to leave spotify. then I messed up and accidentally banished myself to distributor hell for 3 months (F**K Too Lost). instead of quitting, I took the time to finish school, refocus, decide what I wanted Psiren to be, and proceeded to spend the rest of the year recording with so many wonderful human beings, playing some of my favourite shows I've ever played (some of which were tk empty rooms), supporting local art and music when and where I could, as much as I could, and dropping four whole new songs in the last month of the year (Mask Off hits streaming today btw!) all while renewing my love for making music after just wanting s**t to be done for so long. I found the point again.

I got to pursue some really dope creative projects outside of Psiren that also meant the world to me. like attending ACVI for the second year in a row, I landed my first gig scoring music for an actual play podcast (go check out on youtube and bluesky, they're a dope mecha anime podcast), and a lot more stuff that I can't talk about yet. I graduated from NSCC's Music Arts program; one of the best decisions I've ever made, even if doing so has had dire financial consequences. I started streaming again. I met countless wondeful, passionate artistic people who I got to work and have amazing conversations with. Some are in this carousel of memories. I couldn't fit them all.

#2025

hey! merry boxing day. I've released 3 new songs to bandcamp today- Mid Life, Mask Off (the title track) and Pandora's Box. if you've seen any of my live shows since March, you've seen/heard the first two, while Pandora's Box is all new.

all three songs are available for free. there is an option to pay what you want, but I would first encourage you to donate the $3 it would have cost for 3 singles to an aid organization benefiting Palestinian, Sudanese, Congolese or Lebanese folks before you consider giving me your money.

all three songs will be coming to streaming on January 6th, 2026 and I am enormously proud to announce that I've partnered with the Atlantic Canadian Palestinian Society () for this release. at LEAST 90% of the profits from streaming will be paid out directly to the ACPS by my distributor (more if the distributor will let me).

happy holidays. free Palestine. free Sudan. free Congo. free Lebanon. 🖤✌️🤍
