Thank you for taking a look at our program! We are excited to further explain! My name is Tyler and my partner's name is Charlie. We started the Junior Leadership Program for many reasons. We are both young entrepreneurs ourselves, and we are passionate about people, especially young aspiring students! When I was 12 years old I lived in ontario, and I had to provide for myself, I got involved in
a program that provided me a cool sales job in the summer and I was able to work on the weekends! I saved $300 dollars a week (which felt like all the money in the world at the time) and what was even cooler, was that I learned key skills that would help me get over my crazy social anxiety. I didn't realize what i was lacking...interpersonal skills! After the summer I continued to work for 3 years in the program. I went from being scared of the big bad world, to hungry as ever to take it on at such a young age, and today, we are sharing the same opportunity for young students in the Halifax area. The Junior Leadership Program is a small business. We employee students that are 12 to 16 years old because this is the best time to start building a strong successful personality! It is the unfortunate age for anyone who is that young and would like a job...well, its quite hard to find! We currently operate only in Halifax and all the small cities of HRM. And we are hiring in Dartmouth and Halifax areas. By now you are probably wondering what the opportunity is! What we do...and, what the job involves! It's simple! We are a little sales army that sell chocolate bars in front of stores such as Walmart, Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore and plenty others! Our products are $3 or 2 for $5. That is how much we collect for each sale. The students earn $1 dollar per sale. Plus tips, and...unlike a conventional job the students leave at the end of the day with the earned amount in cash! Our operating hours include after school Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. (hours are above) however...a student may choose 2 preferred days out of the 4 days that we work! This is not the first but the 3rd summer the program has been active! During work hours we assign each student with an ID badge that is attached to a lanyard. As well as a cooler in which the chocolate is placed in to keep cool. We are passionate about helping students build key interpersonal skills early in their life that they can use throughout their life. If you are interested in getting started! It is super easy and doesn't take long! Typically, My partner and/or myself would like to meet both the student and at least one parent. You can call 902-402-7802 to book a meeting sometime throughout the week, Monday to Wednesday. Only 15 minutes is necessary, this allows us to get to know each other and get a parent permission form signed! After a parent permission form is signed we schedule the first day on the job. On the first day we spend time with the student first hand helping them sell. We train them and provide a sales pitch. Teach them how to be confident and competent at the door!
