• Project Approval: Burnaby City Council granted final approval for the Pinnacle Lougheed project, which includes two high-rise towers that could become the tallest buildings in British Columbia.
• Location: 9850 Austin Road, 9858, and 9898 Gatineau Place in Burnaby, near Lougheed Town Centre Station.
• Developer: Pinnacle International, which acquired the site in 2018.
• Original Plans: The project initially planned three towers, but due to issues regarding density and adjacent land ownership, it was revised to include four towers.
• Phase One: Includes 80 and 73-storey towers with 1,466 strata units, 515,097 sq. ft. of office space, and 13,304 sq. ft. of retail space.
• Amenities: 1,612 vehicle and 2,932 bicycle parking spaces, plus a grand promenade.
• Future Phases: Phase Two and Three will proceed with site-specific rezoning applications, with Phase Two expected to be around the same height as the Phase One towers, and Phase Three expected to be shorter.
