Divas Hike Too

Hey hey Hiker Friends. 💕 Just checking in with all of our family, friends and followers here. Our little Nugget is still on the road to recovery. 🙏🏽🐶 We’ve had a few challenges and a few doctors visits since our last update.. including today. We’ve been busy and completely focused on getting her well so we haven’t really been online. As of today she’s on three different medications and two supplements. We’ve been tackling getting her to eat and p**p, addressing her shivering and panting daily since the surgery. She has also had some extensive and prolonged swelling requiring ice compressions a few times daily. The newest concern is vomiting which started Saturday (they addressed that today at the doctor). Her next scheduled appointment is tomorrow afternoon where she’ll have more tests done to get an updated and current clearer picture. 🙏🏽

The Good Stuff: We all know that Sunday Rose smiles ALL OF THE TIME.🐶😃 Well she hadn’t smiled once since her surgery😢💔...until now! 🙌🏽 😍 She’s upbeat and in great spirits despite her challenges in healing. I’ll try to catch a pic of her smiling soon and share it with you.🥰🐶 We’ve had a couple of successful mealtimes followed by a couple of potty parties 🎉 🙌🏽After her doctor’s visit yesterday we took her to buy a new toy as promised, and she fell in love with the cute little brown guy on the left. We named him “Brave” because our puppy daughter is being the toughest bravest little girl right now!🐶💪🏼 She’s still a sweet little cuddle bug so of course we’re all giving her extra love through all of this. 💜🐶💜

Hi everyone.💕 Just checking in with everyone who’s waiting for an update. Sunday’s surgeon gave her an “OK” yesterday and she is recovering at home at the lake house.🥰🐶🏡 I haven’t left her side. 💜 She’s still very heavily medicated and sleeping a lot.😴 She basically needs care around the clock so I've been busy doing just that. We see all of the messages, comments, likes and shares here, on her page and in our hiking and dog parenting groups and we THANK YOU for loving our baby so sincerely.🥰🙏🏽🐶💜 She’s still alert but needs meds, water and food (just broth so far) given to her by syringe. No real interest in food yet so we’re prayerful that she’ll want to try to eat tonight🙏🏽 She still can't really walk on her own or be left alone so right now it's like taking care of a sick baby. It's a lot just seeing her like this💔… But Nugget is hanging in there!💪🏽 Her doctors say we should see improvement in about two weeks. We’ve sent all of the tumors removed from her mammary glands and chest (two additional ones were discovered once they began operating) out for testing and we should know specifics within 8 days. 🙏🏼 They were all small (the two late discoveries were tiny) and caught early so we are hopeful.🙏🏽 Some smaller challenges for her right now are: Irritation from the tube being down her throat for surgery which is causing some coughing. Her right eye is also red and irritated from what they’ve said is likely the ointment they had to use on her eyes during surgery. There’s slight irritation on her little puppy arm where they had to shave her to place the IV. Her doctors addressed those issues yesterday and she’s on the mend.

She is a tough pup though and fighting through this with intermittent but very cute tail wags.🥰🐶💜🙏🏽 She has a follow up appointment on Wednesday. And yes, PorkChop has been with her the entire time including at the hospital.🐶🥰🐷💕
