We are so excited to announce that following the Special General Meetings of both Dumfries Mutual and Halwell Mutual this past Wednesday, policyholder members of both companies have voted in favour of amalgamation! Approval now remains subject only to final approval of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario. While we await this final stage of approval, we anticipate that effective January 1st, 2024, we will be operating Halwell Dumfries Mutual Insurance Company!
Thank YOU to all of our amazing policyholders who took the time to send in your votes and to those who attended in person at our Special General Meeting locations. 🩵 We appreciate your support always and we are looking forward to what the future brings! As we celebrate this important milestone in the process towards amalgamation, we do so with great respect for the history of both Halwell and Dumfries and the individual legacies of both companies.
