The original fan shaft / jackshaft guard was made with light mesh and minimal structure. Over time it cracked, deteriorated, and lacked the strength needed to contain a failure.

➡️ New Weld FX Guard
Weld FX designed and fabricated a fully reinforced guard built to:
✔️ Contain rotating components
✔️ Improve rigidity and durability
✔️ Meet safety compliance requirements

➡️ Failure Event
The jackshaft suffered a major failure, sending the large sheave into the guard.
Our guard contained the impact, preventing further damage and protecting personnel.

You can clearly see the bent and deformed guard, showing it did exactly what it was built to do.
