She has focused on millinery for the last ten years, creating all one-of-a-kind hats from up-cycled silks found while thrift shopping. Texture, color, comfort, function are her goal and the 1920/30's are her inspiration.

Peggy is a luxury gossamer hat with the band made from upcycled cashmere sweaters. It is thin, but warm and oh-so-cozy.
Peggy – Luxe Gossamer The Gossamer hat is a Trish Raine-developed hat, handmade by fusing merino wool and chiffon silk in a process of wet felting (nuno felting). This hat has silk on the outside of the hat, and is lined with a different silk. A thin layer of merino wool is felted between the two layers of silk
Finished this inspired cloche today with a delicate silk scarf wrapped around the hat and fashioned into a flower. Channeling the 20’s, pastel tones and a little Holly Hobby patchwork, this cloche is stunning, feminine and one of a kind. 💓. Can’t wait to see it on a model.
