To raise awareness of these differences, every year World Dyslexia Day is observed on October 8. The day is meant to bring attention to the challenges, the misunderstandings, and — most importantly — the strengths and potential of people with dyslexia.
As a teacher who works with children with special needs, especially dyslexic students, I can only appreciate how much these students are fighting a battle that nobody sees. Every day, they struggle with huge challenges and I am happy to provide support to them!
So today I want to shout out to my amazing gifted and talented students, who just need support and understanding!
