Enjoying some cocktails made by Alex - who is IMO one of the best bartenders in town since (RIP) who was well loved barkeep here in back in the day before his untimely death.
Just had a Sazerac cocktail - one of the first cocktails that was ever concocted. And about to have my first taste of Pappy Van Winkle which is known as one of the best bourbons in the world.
Not only talented at the booze slinging Alex is a lovely person to talk to as well! Already looking forward to another visit later this summer to knock a few more items off of my bucket list, but maybe it till have to wait until my birthday in August so some of my friends can buy the drinks!
The special was a burger 🍔 concocted by - there was a poblano involved and the sauce was fantastic The burger itself was prepared with a smashed patty on a flat top grill which meant the patty had a nice sear. There was also a spicy chicken sandwich which might have been TOO spicy, which is not something I can usually say! 🌶

In conclusion deserves it’s reputation as one of the best cocktail bars in the city and maybe even that should be extended to being counted as one of the best in the province, if not the country. I’ve got a lot of bars to visit before I go saying something like that though!
