Our first CubeSatellite was launched with 49 others in April 2017 from the International Space Station. You will also be awe-struck to learn that we are working on a Open Source CubeSat Platform. With more projects planned in the near future, we aim to promote Alberta's space industry while educating the public about space, engineering, and satellite design through our Educational Outreach Program. In case you were doubting how cool we are, Ex-Alta 1 is the first made-in-Alberta CubeSatellite and a fantastic example of the capability of Albertans on the world aerospace stage. Quite simply, space represents the next stage of human development of which we have barely scratched the surface. This age of space and technology represents economic, philosophical, cultural, and intellectual expansion on a global scale. Ex-Alta 1 will be the platform (and most gorgeous satellite) to help carry Alberta into such an amazing age.
