e. The festival name is a reference to an inspiring indigenous story that speaks of a new people arising who would seek wisdom from the elders and try to turn the earth green again. A rainbow is a collection of different colours but we see it as a single unified object that is made beautiful because of its individual differences not in spite of them; if you look closely all of these beautiful colours also share the very same source. In this sense the rainbow is a powerful symbol of unity and togetherness and the rainbow vision is about moving beyond the illusion of separation we sometimes feel toward each other and our living planet.
