We had a wonderful time at the .gsa 2026 event at the .
Zita was honoured to join the panel of Trans and Gender Expansive youth support workers to share messages of hope and support, and we were proud to share the many projects that , , and are working on to help support Two Spirit, Trans, Intersex, and Gender Expansive youth in the coming year.
Thank you to Wes, Elise, and the other Evergreens GSA organizers, the SSUC, Charlie, Nate, and Alison who volunteered their time to offer us table support, all the amazing resource fair participants, for their land acknowledgement, for reminding us that many are working hard to represent our community at local and provincial levels, and to everyone else who came out to celebrate in solidarity.
Centering youth, hope, and community is more important than ever right now.

Today, March 20th is Two Spirit and Indigenous LGTBQQIA+ Celebration and Awareness Day in Canada.
This day feels particularly special for us, on the heels of a deeply moving and hope-filled meeting with Councillors from Maskêkosihk Enoch Cree Nation and community members that we serve collaboratively to discuss our continuing efforts to bridge barriers to fitness accessibility.
We were honoured by the openness, generosity, and leadership shared with us and humbled by the willingness to speak honestly about both the realities and the possibilities that exist when care is rooted in community, culture, and relationship.
We carry forward a deep sense of responsibility to listen, to learn, and to move in ways that honour the strength, knowledge, and lived experience of Two Spirit and Indigenous LGTBQQIA+ communities.
Today is a celebration - but also a reminder that this work is ongoing, relational, and collective.
Decolonization is an intentional practice that demands meaningful actions and commitment from every layer of the community - one we aim to practice and improve upon as we continue to learn and grow.
Today, we honour our Two Spirit and Indigenous members of , and .
Thank you for what you bring to our spaces, our lives, and our community.

A note from Toni and Zita, on behalf of the Action Potential Fitness team:
It's always fun to win awards - especially ones you didn't know you were even competing for!
Thank you to those who nominated us for the and to the judges who reviewed our business and selected us as the recipient.
While we know that most of these awards are...well...sometimes more about capitalism than they are about actual impact, we also know that the only way to get on their radar is for your community to submit your name and sing your praises.
And that knowledge is so much more valuable to us than any award or title we could ever win. Knowing that our clients believe in us and see the work we do as meaningful is our very reason for being.
So thank you, once again, for uplifting us. We are so grateful for your support and proud to serve our APF family and be seen as leaders in Edmonton's fitness community.
With all our love,
The APF Team
